If you’re a regular here at Teenius, you’ve probably realised I’ve been having some technical difficulties with the site, one of which was massive downtime, one of which was the fact you couldn’t post comments. There were also a few smaller problems which I won’t go into massive detail about (yet!), so this post was really aimed towards telling you (my loyal readers) what happened, as well as some extra things.
Technical Problems
Firstly, I’ll just give you a quick update of what happened. Basically, I had some problems with my host that not only meant massive downtime, but the database didn’t seem to be linking properly with the site, thus disallowing you from making comments and sometimes not recognise that there had even been any posts on the blog. I’m still not 100% sure of the problem, but I’ve found a new host that seems very reliable, so hopefully there’ll never be a repeat of these problems.
Rewards
As of now, I’m going to be giving some rewards out for constant commentators. I haven’t exactly decided on the prize yet – it could be anything from money to advertising space. I’ll probably decide who gets the prizes (and the value of them) by the top commentator list at the end of the month, so make sure you’re in the top five!
New design
Since I started Teenius I’ve received some really nice comments, mainly about the content, but one thing that people have always moaned about is the design. I’ve taken this on board and, as I’m writing this post, a custom design is being made up for the blog. I’ve seen this new design and it is mindblowing… hopefully you’ll all like it as much as I did. It should be up on the blog in the next few days.

I’ve decided I’m going to run a question and answer session here on Teenius. Basically, this will work by you leaving a comment/email with a question, and in the next post I’ll do my best to answer it. Not only will you get an answer to your question, I’ll also leave a link to your site (if you have one) crediting you with the question.

I’ve got my GCSEs coming up very soon, and, for those who don’t know, if I fail these then I can’t go to college, so they’re very important. Naturally, my education comes before blogging, but at the same time I want to keep up the ‘post every two days’ thing I have going here. Because of that, I’m looking for guest posters. I quite like this theme too, but I’ve received quite a lot of negative feedback for it. It was only a coincidence really, I wasn’t really looking for a new theme but one of my friends started taking on projects again, and I couldn’t resist
It’s being coded now, but I’ve seen the final draft of the design and it just makes this one look pathetic
Same for the hosting company really, I wasn’t really on the lookout because my host had been getting better, but in the end it just got unbearably bad.
