Become a Guest Author for a blog
This method not only gives solid backlinks, but also good exposure and traffic to your blog. Though this method takes more time, it gives excellent output. Write a Guest Article in which you are good at. It would be nice if it is related to that blog’s content. But be careful while selecting a blog for writing a guest article. Make your article as good as possible because it acts as a free advertisement for your blog. I was Genius so I preferred Teenius ! Punch Dialogue !

Well, the first two way is quite common, the last one seems to be increasing quite a lot this year, most blogs I went to seems to have more guest post then original post from the main author.
But the first two methods are simple ! Commenting on other blogs became a routine work for fellow bloggers !
Commentluv is a great way to promote your blog, it has now become the most popular comment plugin.
Writing a guest post is a good idea if you have something to offer. It shouldnt apply for part time blogger.
Yeah, CommentLuv is the most preferred method, but writing guest articles will increase your backlinks and also traffic !

initially the blog commenting is the best way. After some time we many option as you preferred.
Nice tips, I like the seconds step more compared to first step due to my busy schedule to always online. The first step is good, but sometimes we need to compete to be at the top 10. While for the last step is what like you said, taking time. I never used the last technique yet.
Yeah, But Zuls, you can try Guest Blogging at least once a month or twice a month. That will help you to increase and drive traffic to your blog.. when you are inactive in your blog !

Thanks for the tips. I cant speak highly enough of the links from top commenters and keyword luv/comment luv. They are great ways to build links and if you dont mind contributing to websites, you’ll get a high value link in return. Another thing I like to do is use yahoo answers. These days you have to get to level 2 for your links to show but they are good links and quite often they turn up in googles search results!
Yeah Alex, I’m also a regular user of Yahoo ! Answers, but I was suspended for 3 times. I guess I used so many links !
If you need to get the links back in a hurry on Yahoo answers, consider paying someone to write comments and answers for you.Its cheap, fast, and the boring work doesnt have to be done by you!
Will have to look for the top commentators sites. Haven’t really used that one much before. Have to say, I think article marketing should be on the list as well. Not many other sources can get you multiple 6+ PR links for about a half hour of work.

I think these three ways of getting solid back link are appropriate. and blog commenting is one the best way for that. You just need to keep in your mind that your comment should be relevant to the subject on which you are commenting.
Yeah, never comment for the sake of commenting, users can easily recognize genuine and fake comments !
I had seen a post some where I had not remember where it was. That Blog have PR3 and webmaster start make money through back links. Google identify this and banned that blog, and webmaster lost his PR. I wanna to know that is it safe to do so?

I would say guest posting and article writing on good directories are the best ways to improve backlinks (especially deep links). Top commentator thing gives you a floating backlink that may disappear anytime.
I too agree.. guest blogging link building is permanent.. but being a TC in a blog is also not a big issue right ?

Back to point – I seriously doubt CommentLuv plugin method, they are nfollow by default.
And TC makes your name as anchor text. No use in long term.

Nice post. I didn’t know that CommentLuv links can get you solid (by solid, I mean DO-Followed backlinks that are recognized by SE too) backlinks. I am yet to try CommentLuv on my blog. But can they really be dofollowed? Let me know.

I’ve done the first two way recently. But i think i haven’t been ready for the third way:guest posting. I have to make a real good article, and it’s very time consuming, i feel that it is more difficult to write a guess post than write an article to be submitted on article direcories

yes i agree. But there are blogs which sorts comments by numbers into pages, so the backlink with some pr remain until it get moved to the next page.
