Since you have your link all over the first page, wouldn’t it be good for you to ask everyone to spread it? If more people see your link, more people will visit you. Sure there will be a bit less backlinks, but I think the amount of new visitors will surpass the loss of backlinks.
To be honest, the ebook is more of a thank you to my current readers than a call for new readers. Therefore, if it’s going to be shared, I’d quite like the new readers to be introduced to my blog rather than the book.
Hmm… Nice small free report about comment, I had just read it through, although some I have already know, but there are still some great ideals that I believe most people out there wants to know too. I will share this post with my readers on my next post.

I wrote it about a month ago (I think) and was going to give it away to start building a list, but I decided it would be better to give it away completely free!
Just read the ebook. Very well written, I also get the feeling that many people are scared of allowing dofollow links on their blogs.
What they need to remember is that when it comes down to it, they have control over what gets said and published on their blog. Like you say in your guide, simply using Askimet stops 90% of spam and the rest can be easily filtered out by quickly glancing through the comments list.
As long as the comments add value to your blog then I think it’s a good thing.
Yeah, it’s always good to reward your commentators with something like a link. It costs you nothing, but it’s sure to gather more commentators and reward the ones that are already there, especially if you have a good PR!

The e book is very nicely written and presented. The points were quite simple to follow and implement for any new blogger.
Also good to see that the effort with the e book was no to sell your blog but to provide genuine and useful information to your readers.

Hey Simon! Just finished the ebook. I was wondering, is there a particular reason you chose to turn what could have been 5 or 6 blog posts into an ebook?
When I first wrote it, I was planning to release it to gain email addresses to start a list, so an ebook was the only logical way to go. It just stuck from there really!

Yeah, like I said in the previous comments, the ebook was just as a free thank you, so if I then filled it up with affiliate links it wouldn’t be a ‘thank you’, rather a ‘give me money’!

The top commenters plugin with DO FOLLOW links has really changed my blogs. People are now actively commenting and htey know that crap comments that dont add any value will be deleted. I think its also important to consider how long the comments are displayed for. Thanks for the download link – I look forward to learning more!

If you hold a contest, would it not only bring you more comments, but also negative effects, such as against Google policy? It is because it thinks you do a trick to get your blog popularity.
