Posting on your blog is the most important thing you can do. It sounds silly (and extremely obvious), but there are some bloggers that think it’s OK to stick some content up and then advertise. Posting fresh, unique content is the best way to not only work on your Search Engine Optimisation, but also to keep visitors coming back for more. This article will discuss different things you should remember when making a post.

Content is king!
Yes, it’s a cliché, sorry about that, but it’s so true! The content you post on your blog is the king, and you wouldn’t present crap to a king, so make the content you post quality! If your posts are high quality, you’re much more likely to get recognised in the blogging world and therefore receive lots of traffic.
Write for humans!
Again, it sounds incredibly obvious, but you’d be surprised at the amount of people who write for the search engines and not for the reader. In my opinion doing this is one of the worst mistakes a blogger can make… even the search engines agree with me and tell you to write for the reader. If you have an article that’s keyword packed but makes little sense, there won’t be many returning visitors (if any!).
That said, whilst we’re on the subject of the search engines, you should always post unique content. This way you’ll rank higher in the search engines for the keywords and also draw more readers in at the same time.
Personality, personality, personality
Writing with personality is one of the best things you can do for your blog as it will distinguish you from all the other blogs out there in your niche. Darren Rowse (problogger) didn’t get where he is today from writing monotone, boring articles. Writing with personality makes your articles easier to read and also more enjoyable.

Persistence
OK, so you’ve decided you’re going to post some quality, unique content on your blog, but how often do you put it up? Well, the other day I did a post on The Blogging Park about this, and the general gist of that article is that it doesn’t matter how often you post, as long as you’re consistent! Set a time (for me it’s every 2 days) and keep it up! This is one of the keys to a great blog!

You are right, a unique and good content really depend on a website or a blog. Most of search engines like Google and Yahoo indexes quickly new & unique content.

Thanks for the comment. Yeah, I agree, and so do the search engines by the sound of it! This basically means that, from an SEO perspective, it might be better to produce quality content anyway!
Good content is always good from all prespectives, a good blog keep hunting ideas and writes good articles by writing a after some brainstorming on topics, instead writing for keywords and SE (search engines) only ..

I agree with you. Almost all webmaster gurus out there always yelling on me on how The Content is a king for my site.
But, I’m a full time student now that have to finish my studies so I’m really busy for it.
I just make a copy for something I found interesting on the net and check the site once in a while.
Well, I won’t do that forever I think. So I’m collecting the resources for my site as future reference right now.
Maybe if I have the time I will make a real posts…..
BTW… you have a great blog.

That’s a tricky situation, and I think there are many webmasters who face that problem. Have you tried outsourcing the work? This means you pay someone else to do it, and if you’re good at business you should be able to make a profit from outsourcing very easily
Another good article Simon. You gave some good advice here. I definitely feel like content is one of the most important things.
Keep it up, you’re doing so good!
Keith’s last blog post..Why Not Now?
Yeah, content is vital to any blog, as, if I’m honest, it’s kind of the whole point!
Thanks for the kind words, Keith
Nice blog, Keep up the good work
i’m one of the most people out there who are lazy to write in my blog. From your tip, let me make a step as advice.
Rosli’s last blog post..free global internet summit 2009 mp3
Being lazy is a big problem amongst bloggers, and overcoming that problem is extremely important as consistency is key. I personally have faced a few nights where I thought ‘hmm, maybe I should just post tomorrow, I can’t be bothered tonight’, but being consistent is important so I go ahead and do them anyway
And write about todays rumor, optimize it so you get huge traffics
I agree that this is a good way of building traffic, but you should think about your loyal readers and only post about rumours/news that’s relevant to your niche. For example, if I went and posted about ’swine flu’ on this blog, it wouldn’t really fit
Yeah i agree that content is the king then there is an important thing that is user friendliness. The more the userfriendliness ,more the visitors.
It inculdes standard methods or symbols to be used instead of starting your own symbols and abberivation.
easy navigational structure, avoid too much of graphics
.i think these plays an important role.
I agree that having a user friendly website is also important, but this post was aimed more at the actual written content. Look out for a post in the future about what makes a good blog theme though
One of the most important aspects of focusing on writing quality stuff is that people actually notices it. I usually don’t comment on sites where the blogger obviously didn’t take the time to research about the topic before writing about it.
Nice post!
Thanks for the compliment
Yeah, I hate it when bloggers clearly don’t put any real time or research into their posts as it undermines the bloggers out there who try their best to produce quality posts.
Nice one dude! Im enjoying your posts.
You really are the Teenius!!!! Loving the posts!!

Great post, you have pretty much covered everything. I think that it doesn’t matter how much you post but the quality of the articles of the post.
teenwebguru’s last blog post..Are You Obsessed?
Yeah, posting quality content is extremely important, but also if you want returning viewers, you have to have a consistency in the amount you post and how often.
So, you taught me perfect tips for nice blogging. I think I can blog nicely after reading your post. Please keep posting such things regularly.

I’ll make sure to do more blogging related posts in the future
Writing for human is probably the most important. It’s not hard to figure whether an article is for search engines or for humans. but anyway its just the same as affiliate marketing and other onlin/offline stuffs
Very true. I suppose that’s why writing for the reader is important, because if you don’t it will show in your writing!
The biggest thing here is writing for humans. I see keyword stuffing a lot, and it just makes a post look terrible and doesn’t make me want to read it.
Personality is great too, because it makes you look friendlier I think. I try to do it as much at my own blog.

Yeah. One of the reasons I love your posts at Blogussion so much is the fact that you put enough personality in to make it really easy to read, like having a conversation.
I think having a good keyword density can be reached without spamming the words, but unfortunately there are some bloggers that don’t understand this
Ha, same goes for Teenius! You do put a rather unique writing style into your posts that I like a lot man.

Thanks for inspiring me to write good content.
Soon, i will have content on my own new blog.
Glad I’ve been an inspiration
Can’t wait to see some posts going up on EcommerceMole… it’s been a long time coming
They are currently being written up as we speak. I so far have enough for 2 weeks worth.
Thanks again.
I wrote a similar post on my blog. I too keep saying always that content is the King. If you have no content then your blog is nothing but a crap.
Cheers

Agreed. The content is the most important part of any blog so it’s important to get it right
Hey, great article. I try to make my posts as personable as possible. Keyword stuffing can be left to tags
Montana Flynn’s last blog post..Tr.im + wordpress + twitter = good
Agreed. If I’m completely honest, when I’m writing a post, keywords and keyword stuffing is right at the back of my brain. I think the most important thing is quality content, and the SEO will come in time
Hi, nice post. I have been wondering about this issue,so thanks for blogging. I will certainly be coming back to your site. Keep up great writing
